Since St. John’s Lutheran Church has major tornado damage, NCCB has a plan in place that is contingent on power being restored to Donelson Heights United Methodist. The power is out now, but we have high hopes it will be restored by Monday (3/9) afternoon (at the latest) for us to use the Fellowship Hall Monday night for rehearsal 7:00-9:00. We may have to be in touch very close to rehearsal time. It’s an important rehearsal, dress rehearsal for our concert March 16th.
Donelson Heights UMC
84 Fairway Drive
Nashville, TN 37214
It’s on the corner of Fairway and Selma Drives. Park in the lot beside the playground. Enter the door nearest the playground clearly marked Fellowship Hall. We CANNOT get in the building until 5:30. Yvonne Nagy is the liaison and has the key. Her mobile number is 615-975-3069.
There are traffic/tornado damage issues in the neighborhood. McGavock Pike at St. John’s is still currently CLOSED at the railroad tracks. Approach Donelson Heights UMC from the corner of Lebanon Pike and Fairway Dr, proceed on Fairway until immediately past Revere Drive and turn left into the DHUMC lot. (St. Phillip’s Church is on the right). The location was chosen because it’s only three blocks from St.John’s and is available to us. Call Yvonne Monday if there’s any doubt, but importantly, watch for email before Monday and even as late as a Monday afternoon for confirmation we can rehearse there.
If there is no power at DHUMC, we will rehearse at Christ Lutheran Church (where the concert will be held on March 16) 299 Haywood Ln, Nashville TN 37211. The church is located between Nolensville Pike and I-24.
You can unload equipment from under the canopy before parking in the rear lot. There are a few steps up to the performance room from this parking area.
